On a lovely sunny (but windy) day in Aarhus, a friend of mine, Simon, and I ran the
Aarhus city half marathon. This was the first year to have a city half marathon, and it was a great day! Simon hadn't run a half marathon before, and had suggested a finishing time of around 2 hours 10 mins. Well, we finished just under 2 hours: 1:59:39 - it was a great feeling running by the 2 hour pace setters roughly 30 seconds before the finish line! Our supporters (Nora, Holger and Esben) were great - they met us at various spots around the course. One of the highlights was that we had to run through an underground carpark in the city centre - there were young guys in there with their car stereo up loud - the atmosphere was excellent :o) A friend of Simon's, Ulrik, also ran the race, but his pace was a bit faster, and he finished in an excellent time of 1:42. Here are a few photos of us during the run (I'm hiding behind a few people at times - you can see my hand though!). We look forward to next year's race...
